Summary of Experience
Professor Aigner, a renowned statistician and econometrician, is a leading authority on the application of sampling techniques in a variety of situations that arise in litigation. He has provided litigation support and/or expert testimony in matters involving contract disputes, regulation of public utilities, false claims, tortious interference, housing discrimination, and government contracting, among others. The industries involved in these cases span automobiles, manufacturing and distribution, health care, insurance, e-commerce, banking, defense, computer hardware and software, and electrical utilities. Professor Aigner is founding editor of the Journal of Econometrics and has authored several books and many articles on statistical and econometric methods. He is a former dean of the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Irvine.
