Tax Investigation Analysis

Analysis Group and academic affiliate Professor John Lacey were retained to provide assistance related to an investigation of a large multinational firm by a taxation authority. Managing Principals Jeff Malinak and Christopher Borek oversaw our work, which included assessment of economic substance and business purpose, as well as the analysis of thousands of intercompany transactions to determine the net impact and to trace the flow of cash and cash rights within the organization. Professor Lacey and Mr. Malinak presented the results of our analysis to representatives of the taxation authority.
